4/25/2021 2 Comments The Paradox of Beginning and EndsAt this point, it has been some time since the birthing of what is now called the Cabarrus Dream Center. Two or three years to be exact. But today was, what seemed to be, a releasing of sorts into the future of how people can be helped spiritually and physically in our community. So what is next? It is the end of this part, but it is only the beginning of the next part. What will God do next? It was almost like an opening of the door into an unmarked future. A release into whatever God may have next for the community of the Cabarrus County. If you have not been able to keep up with the story of the Dream Center, check it out here. Today was the official ribbon cutting for the Cabarrus Dream Center! It was an interesting day, as some of the Dream Center has been fully operating for years at this point. But it was full of celebration as the community came together to celebrate all God has done and will continue to do. The picture painted by the ribbon cutting: imagine thousands upon thousands of residents coming to the Dream Center every year. They are able to receive everything they need tangibly, but also hear the Good News about Jesus Christ. They come and go, but they go from this place changed eternally and connected to a local church. That is the future. That is what we are celebrating as a community. We can see the vision of what God might be doing, yet we hold it all with an open hand, stewarding it as God places it in our hands. The word is getting out too, and God is getting glory (which, might we remind you, is the overarching goal of all of this). Even some local providers have connected with us to share the story of how God has been faithful and compassionate on the community here. WBTV did an article/interview that you can view here. Cabarrus Magazine did a podcast that can be found here. Let us remind you, this is not about us. This is about engaging the community for Jesus Christ, and for helping them in their tangible needs. It may seem so redundant to hear, but this truly is the cry of the heart of the Dream Center. What you have read is what is next for the Dream Center. But now we ask you: what is your next step? How will you get involved in the mission of Jesus Christ in this county or in your own county? Our challenge is that whatever you do, at least engage in Gospel-Centric efforts happening in your community. Are there none happening? Start one. It has eternal value beyond what we can fully comprehend. Help the poor. Feed the hungry. Meet the marginalized where they are. Listen to the story of someone who is unlike you, and perhaps underserved. For those of you who’s next step is serving at the Cabarrus Dream Center, we cannot wait to have you! The next best step is to contact us here and let us know you want to sign up for one of our tours. At a Dream Center Tour, you will hear more about the Dream Center, and get to see the space. We will also take time to get to know, your passions, and your calling. Then we will connect you to the ministry/partner you will work with. What’s the next step for you? What is God placing on your heart to do to get involved with and for His Kingdom? Whatever it is, go now and do it. It is now or never. All for the glory of King Jesus.
